The Promised Discord Server

Having spent a few days tweaking channels, I present to you: The WEJ server! It's intended as a place where you can have short form (or long form!) discussion about the books and characters off the cuff, rather than the longer discussion posts that work best on DW or the Biggles Forum. I am open to suggestions for how to improve the user experience, so feel free to put any of those in the #suggestion-box if you join up!

Here is the link to join. If you already have a Discord account and are logged in it should link to your account straight away. If not, you'll need to sign up. If you're a Discord newbie or sceptic (believe me, I was once deeply unsure about it myself), here is an installation guide, the official Beginner's Guide, and a Wired article. You can also use it in your browser without installing the app, although I haven't tried that myself. If you do join and find it confusing or obtuse, please feel free to message me on here or on Discord and I'll do my best to help!

If you join, there's a channel for introducing yourself. It's really just so people can link Discord usernames and fandom pseuds if they differ, but it's also for including crucial information like your favourite WEJ book and #1 insane canonical trope (or other truly trivial trivia).
